Accept and pay

Accept is the call that turns an estimate into an order. What it does depends on the job's status and on your key's auto-quote limit.

What accept does

Estimated, total within your limit	The estimate becomes the quote. We send a Stripe invoice. 201, with the payment link in invoice.url.
Estimated, total above your limit	202, with awaiting: "staff_quote". A person at Glyph reviews the job and sets the quote. Poll until status is quoted, then accept again.
Quoted by Glyph	We send the invoice at the quoted price. 201, with the payment link.
Invoiced or paid	200, with the existing invoice. Accept is safe to repeat.
Any other status	409. The job cannot be accepted from that state.

Your auto-quote limit

Glyph sets the limit on your key. It is returned as auto_quote_limit_cents when you create a job. A new key starts at zero, which means every job waits for our quote. Ask us to raise it when you are ready to order without a review step.

Pay

The invoice is a Stripe hosted invoice. Pay it at invoice.url. When payment clears, the job's status becomes paid and invoice.paid_at is set.

After payment

Payment never starts a machine. A person at Glyph releases the paid job to the shop queue, and status becomes queued, then scheduled with a planned schedule.start and schedule.end. See Track a job.

If you change your mind

Before payment, nothing is owed. An invoice you do not pay expires. Contact us if you need a job cancelled after payment.
