Welcome to the Intake API
What the API does, who it is for, and where to begin.
The Intake API lets your software work with our shop the way a customer does in the portal: send an inquiry, describe a part, attach the files, get a price, accept it, and follow the job to shipment.
Who it is for
- Customers who order parts from us often, and who want their own system to do it.
- Platforms that place fabrication work for their users.
- Internal tools at Glyph.
The API is not public. We issue a key to a customer account. Ask us for one from the contact page.
What you can do
| Inquiries | Send a question or a scope of work. A person reads it and replies. |

| Files | Attach models and drawings to a job. |
| Accept | Turn the estimate into an invoice. Pay it to start the job. |

A note on review
Every job is reviewed by a person at Glyph before it runs. The API moves work to that review faster. It does not remove it.
